Progression: Project Grid Plan

Normally, I would not have considered focusing my work on the concept of a day to day planning device. In fact, I would normally have shunned it. However, after having gone through many iterations of possibilities that I could do and produce and create, I found I actually liked the idea for its simplicity.

Some of the previous ideas I had gone through involved greenscreening – creating a virtual prescence based on actual people, capable of showing viewers how to access various data and such – though the workload to follow that would have been destructively immense, and I was disappointed by that idea because it had no relevance to the current world, it was almost too visual, and not interactively engaging enough.

I considered an interactive Wall, having already drawn many influences from Graffiti and Street Art, and from the greenscreen concept. I liked the idea of being able to drag things across screens, and the working concepts of digital blutooth tables and technology like touchscreen phones made me want to investigate this idea further.
